Many of us these days fail to realize the importance of being healthy until we get sick. It’s a struggle to be healthy for some of us, mostly because we failed to eat the right foods, which causes us to be unhealthy. How about a list of healthy foods that can help you in this process of either getting healthy, staying healthy.
In this article, I will give you a list of healthy foods and what it is best (good) for, and not so best for, in one page. Six Healthy foods that are easy to use Daily, a list of healthy foods to eat that we can incorporate with our breakfast, lunch and dinner.
I never want to keep my readers too long on my blogs, so I’ll be short; in a few mins from now, you will be able to make a better choice on some food you’re eating. Let’s start with-
Cereal definition, any plant of the grass family yielding an edible grain, as wheat, rye, oats, rice, or corn that are filled with vitamins. There are many different types of cereals. Most cereal has Iron, Calcium, Vitamin A, Vitamin C.
Good For- Eating enough whole grains and cereal fibres may reduce your risk of early death, mostly due to illnesses like diabetes, cancer, and respiratory disease. With the loaded amount of vitamins, cereals are good for many different diseases, including cancer and diabetes.
Bad For- I cannot say cereal is terrible for anything, other than too much of one thing good for nothing, too much of a certain type of vitamin is bad too, sugar levels in cereals are very high depending on which cereal you’re using. You definitely need to check on your cereal box to see the amount of sugar you’re eating. Too much sugar can lead to other diseases, such as diabetes.
Avocados are a very healthy fruit mainly because it’s filled with healthy fats, potassium, fibre, and vitamin C.
It is also creamy and tasty. You should love this fruit.
Good For– Avocado has Lutein, a carotenoid that works as an antioxidant. This can protect your eyes against eye diseases that is good for the eyes.
Avocados also help you get more of these nutrients from other foods. So eating carotenoid packed foods like vegetables and fruits, along with avocados, helps your body absorb the carotenoids.
Avocados also lower bad cholesterol (LDL) and raise good cholesterol (HDL).
A high folate intake is also associated with a lower risk of heart attacks and heart disease; Avocados is pack with that too and reduces the risk of a heart attack.
Bad For– Too much of one thing good for nothing Yes, avocado may be healthy, it is not good to over-consume, which can cause overweight.
Avocados are very high in calories; this leads to excessive calories, which leads to being overweight. It still contains saturated fat, which leads to heart disease if eaten as if there is no tomorrow.
Almond nuts or tree is packed with a large number of nutrients, almond is becoming more known to people now because of more and different products of almond is now on the shelves of stores and supermarkets, like milk, oil butter etc.
Almond is filled with, Fiber, Magnesium, Vitamin E, Fat, Protein, Manganese, Vitamin B2 and more.
Good For– Almonds is also known to promote heart health and prevent weight gain, and it may even help fight diseases like diabetes, and some say Alzheimer’s. Supports and maintains normal blood pressure levels, decrease bad cholesterol (LDL) and raises the good (HDL).
Almonds rank highest in protein, fibre, calcium, vitamin E, riboflavin and niacin content by weight.
Bad for– We know how allergic people are to nuts, so stay away from the almond nut (tree). You may be allergic to this as well; like everything else, you have to make sure almond is not is your food if you’re allergic to it.
Risk of aspiration, which can cause food to enter the lungs, aspiration-something entering your air pipe causing you too caught, painful to swallowing, horse voice and more.
Banana among the world’s best sources of potassium. They’re also high in vitamin B6 and fibre. Banana is commonly used by everyone or most people, easy and simple fruit to grab on the go.
Good For– Bananas help overcome depression due to high levels of tryptophan, which is converted into serotonin, good fruit you want to take to the gym as well since it protects against muscle cramps during workouts and nighttime leg cramps.
Banana also strengthens the nervous system and help with the production of white blood cells due to high levels of vitamin B-6. Strengthen your blood and relieve anaemia with the added iron from bananas.
Bananas act as a prebiotic, stimulating the growth of friendly bacteria in the bowel. They also produce digestive enzymes to assist in absorbing nutrients.
Control blood sugar; bananas are the only raw fruit that can be consumed without distress to relieve stomach ulcers by coating the stomach’s lining against corrosive acids.

Bad For– People with kidney diseases are advised to stay away from foods high in potassium, and banana is very high in such. Banana has a high level of sugar or carbohydrate that converts into sugar, depending on which type of banana. Some have more than some, like sweet fig. That’s sweeter than apple.
When eating the banana, don’t eat it with food that is high in sugar since it can raise your blood sugar levels.
Broccoli is a vegetable that tastes great, eaten raw or cooked. It’s an excellent source of fibre and vitamins C and K and contains a decent amount of protein. Compared with other vegetables, Broccoli contains Vitamin C, Vitamin A, Vitamin K, Vitamin B9, Carbs, Protein, Fat, Fiber, Potassium, etc.
Good For– Broccoli also reduced blood sugar, cholesterol levels, oxidation stress, and chronic disease Broccoli contains various bioactive compounds that have been shown to reduce inflammation in your body’s tissues.
Broccoli is said to protect against certain types of cancer like Breast, Prostate, Kidney, Bladder and more, good for blood sugar control in people with diabetes.
Bad For– This is one of the best vegetables you can eat. Other than the risk of becoming windy having to use the toilet due to its high fibre content, there is nothing bad that can be said about broccoli,
Broccoli and other calciferous vegetables like cauliflower and cabbage are not advisable to eat, not to say it is bad for the thyroid. Still, they may need to be limited or thoroughly cooked by hypothyroidism, goitre or hypothyroidism.
I really want to mention fish as the only meats part of my sixth and final healthy food. We can cooperate with our daily meals, mainly because fish are especially rich in omega-3 fatty acids and iodine, two nutrients in which most people are deficient.
Good For– Fish lower the risk of many illnesses, including heart disease, dementia, and depression, Many species of fish are consumed as food in virtually all regions around the world.
Fish has been an important source of protein and other nutrients for humans throughout history. Fish is healthy and easy to digest and with a high level of precious proteins.
Fish is considered an important part of a healthy diet. And with omega-3 fatty acids, fish has a bonus.
Fish is a high-protein, low-fat food that provides a range of health benefits. White-fleshed fish, in particular, is lower in fat than any other source of animal protein, and oily fish are high in omega-3 fatty acids or good fats.
Since the human body can’t make significant amounts of these essential nutrients, fish are an important part of the diet. Also, fish are low in the bad fats commonly found in red meat, called omega-6 fatty acids.
Bad For– Environmental Working Group found that people who ate the recommended amounts of many commonly consumed types of fish were ingesting dangerous amounts of mercury while getting relatively small amounts of omega-3s.
Fishes such as catfish, cod, Pollock, and tilapia, clams, crabs, scallops, shrimp, etc. Contain low levels of omega-3s but plenty of harmful chemicals.
Many fish, such as salmon, are farmed. Thousands of fish are crammed into tiny pens, so the water stays dirty, and diseases and parasites spread, causing fish to be contaminated and bad for consumption.
The Environmental Protection Agency says that contaminated fish are a persistent PCB source (polychlorinated biphenyl) in the human diet. These chemicals have been shown to damage the circulatory, nervous, immune, endocrine, and digestive systems.

With this list of healthy foods, you can grab these foods daily easily, exactly the reason for me naming these foods. Cereal can be used easily for breakfast; avocado can be used with breakfast and lunch, as for almond, use the milk, or butter on bread, that simple.
Fish, you notice, is the only meat I mention, since fish and is better than most meat. It finishes cooking in no time, Broccoli the same, that can be eaten raw and cooked.
