Many of us these days fail to realize the importance of being healthy until we get sick, it’s a struggle to be healthy for some of us, mostly because we failed to eat the right foods, which causes us to be unhealthy. How about a list of healthy foods that can help you in this process of either getting healthy, staying healthy.

In this article I’m going to give you a list of healthy foods, and what it is best (good) for, and not so best for, in one page. Six Healthy foods, that is easy to use Daily, a list of healthy foods to eat that we can incorporate with our breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Never wanna keep my readers too long on my blogs, so I’ll be short, In a few mins from now you will be able to make a better choice on some food you’re eating. Let’s start with-

List of healthy eating foods


Cereal-

Cereal definition, any plant of the grass family yielding an edible grain, as wheat, rye, oats, rice, or corn, that are filled with vitamins, there are many different types of cereals most cereal has Iron, Calcium, Vitamin A, Vitamin C.

Good For- Eating enough whole grains and cereal fibers may reduce your risk of early death, mostly due to illnesses like diabetes, cancer, and respiratory disease. With the loaded amount of vitamins, cereals is good for many different types diseases including cancer and diabetes.

Bad For- I cannot say cereal is really bad for anything, other than too much of one thing good for nothing, too much of a certain type of vitamin is bad too, sugar levels in cereals is very high depending on which cereal you’re using. You definitely need to check on you cereal box to see the amount of sugar you’re eating, too much sugar can lead to other diseases such as diabetes.


Avocados-

Avocados is a very healthy fruit mainly because it’s filled with Healthy fats, potassium, fiber, and vitamin C.

it is also creamy and tasty. You should love this fruit.List of healthy eating foods

Good For– Avocado has Lutein, a carotenoid that works as an antioxidant, this can protect your eyes against eye diseases that is good for the eyes.

Avocados also help you get more of these nutrients from other foods. So eating carotenoid packed foods like vegetables and fruits, along with avocados helps your body absorb the carotenoids.

Avocados also lower bad cholesterol (LDL) and raises the good cholesterol (HDL).

A high folate intake is also associated with a lower risk of heart attacks and heart disease, Avocados is pack with that too and reduces risk of heart attack.

Bad For– Too much of one thing good for nothing, yes as much as avocado may be healthy it is not good to over consume which can cause, overweight.

Avocados is very high is calories, this leads to excessive calories, which leads to being over weight. It still contains saturated fat, that leads to heart disease if eaten as if there is no tomorrow.


Almond-

Almond nuts or tree is packed with a large amount of nutrients, almond is becoming more known to people now because of more and different produce of almond is now on the shelves of stores and super markets, like milk, oil butter etc.

Almond is filled with, Fiber, Magnesium, Vitamin E, Fat, Protein, Manganese, Vitamin B2 and more.list of healthy eating foods

Good ForAlmonds is also known to promote heart health and prevent weight gain, and it may even help fight diseases like diabetes and some say Alzheimer’s. Supports and maintain normal blood pressure levels, decreases bad cholesterol (LDL) and raises the good one (HDL).

Almonds rank highest in protein, fiber, calcium, vitamin E, riboflavin and niacin content by weight.

Bad for– We know how allergic people are to nuts, so stay away from almond nut (tree) you may be allergic to this as well, as everything else you have to make sure almond is not is your food of you’re allergic to it.

Risk of aspiration, which can cause food to enter the lungs, aspiration-something entering you air pipe causing you to caught, painful to swallowing, horse voice and more.

 


Banana-

Banana among the world’s best sources of potassium. They’re also high in vitamin B6 and fiber. Banana is commonly used by everyone or most people, easy and simple fruit to grab on the go.

Good ForBananas help overcome depression due to high levels of tryptophan, which is converted into serotonin, good fruit you wanna to take to the gym as well, since it protect against muscle cramps during workouts and nighttime leg cramps.

Banana also strengthen the nervous system, and help with the production of white blood cells, all due to high levels of vitamin B-6., Strengthen your blood and relieve anemia with the added iron from bananas.List of healthy eating Foods

Bananas act as a prebiotic, stimulating the growth of friendly bacteria in the bowel. They also produce digestive enzymes to assist in absorbing nutrients.
Control blood sugar, bananas are the only raw fruit that can be consumed without distress to relieve stomach ulcers by coating the lining of the stomach against corrosive acids.

I can go on and on about banana, but that will take me on page two of a wordpress blog. How long is that? 🙂

Bad ForPeople with kidney diseases are advice to stay away from foods high in potassium, and banana are very high in such. Banana has a high level of sugar or carbohydrate that converts in to sugar, depending on which type of banana, some have more that some, like sweet fig, that’s more sweet than apple.

When eating banana, don’t be eating it with food that are high in sugar, since it can raise your blood sugar levels.

 


Broccoli-

Broccoli is a vegetable that tastes great eaten raw or cooked. It’s an excellent source of fiber and vitamins C and K and contains a decent amount of protein, when compared with other vegetables, Broccoli contains, Vitamin C, Vitamin A, Vitamin K, Vitamin B9, Carbs, Protein, Fat, Fiber, Potassium, etc.

Good For– Broccoli also reduced blood sugar, cholesterol levels, oxidation stress and chronic disease Broccoli contains various bio active compounds that have been shown to reduce inflammation in your body’s tissues.List of healthy foods

Broccoli is said to protect against certain types of cancer like Breast, Prostate, kidney, Bladder and more, good for blood sugar control in people with diabetes.

Bad ForThis is one of the best vegetables you can eat. Other than the risk of becoming windy having to use the toilet due to it’s high fiber content, there is nothing bad that can be said about broccoli,

Broccoli and other calciferous vegetables like cauliflower, and cabbage are not advisable to eat, not to say it is bad for thyroid, but they may need to be limited or at least thoroughly cooked by people with hypothyroidism, goiter or hypothyroidism.


Fish-

I really wanna mention fish as the only meats part of my six and final healthy food we can in cooperate with our daily meals, mainly because fish are especially rich in omega-3 fatty acids and iodine, two nutrients in which most people are deficient.

Good For– Fish lower risk of many illnesses, including heart disease, dementia, and depression, Many species of fish are consumed as food in virtually all regions around the world.List of healthy list.

Fish has been an important source of protein and other nutrients for humans throughout history. Fish is healthy and easy to digest and with a high level of precious proteins

Fish is considered an important part of a healthy diet. And with omega-3 fatty acids fish has an bonus.

Fish is a high-protein, low-fat food that provides a range of health benefits. White-fleshed fish, in particular, is lower in fat than any other source of animal protein, and oily fish are high in omega-3 fatty acids, or the good fats.

Since the human body can’t make significant amounts of these essential nutrients, fish are an important part of the diet. Also, fish are low in the bad fats commonly found in red meat, called omega-6 fatty acids.

Bad For– Environmental Working Group found that people who ate the recommended amounts of many commonly consumed types of fish were ingesting dangerous amounts of mercury while getting relatively small amounts of omega-3s.

Fishes such as catfish, cod, Pollock, and tilapia, clams, crabs, scallops, shrimp, etc. Contain low levels of omega-3s but plenty of harmful chemicals.

Many fish, such as salmon, are farmed. Thousands of fish are crammed into tiny pens, so water stays dirty, and diseases and parasites spread causing fish to be contaminated and bad for consumption.

The Environmental Protection Agency says that contaminated fish are a persistent source of PCB (poly chlorinated biphenyl) in the human diet. These chemicals have been shown to damage the circulatory, nervous, immune, endocrine, and digestive systems.


Conclusion| In Ending-

With this list of healthy foods, you can grab these foods on a daily basics easily, exactly the reason for me naming these foods. Cereal can be used easily for breakfast, avocado can be used with breakfast and lunch, as for almond, use the milk, or butter on bread, that simple.

Fish, you notice is the only meat I mention, since fish and is better than most meat. It finishes cooking in no time, Broccoli the same, that can be eaten raw and cooked.List of healthy Foods.

  1. One thing that I is really good for the body is food and not just food good an healthy food as eating healthy helps you stay younger. I really like the list of food that you have given here they would indeed go well with breakfast especially the avocados.thanks anyway for sharing but I want to know how do I incorcate these foods into my breakfast?

    • Most of these foods can be use as a part of your breakfast or your breakfast, cereal with a few slices of banana works very well for the start of your day, a slice of avocado can work too, you can have a glass of almond milk too, choose what you like, you can use them all for breakfast.

  2. Hi and thanks for the information in this post. I know these are the foods that I need to eat but how do I deal with cravings? Why do I get sick of eating the food I know I should eat and choose the foods that I know I shouldn’t eat. After a while healthy foods get boring and if they aren’t going to be boring they seem to require a lot of preparation to make them appealing. I am having a lot of trouble managing my weight at the moment so any advice you can give would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks to you for sharing such an excellent article with us .I am a very conscious person about health, so I always try to keep healthy foods in my diet and I eat healthy foods regularly. I always put Cereal, Avocados, Banana, Broccoli, Fish in my diet and the noon and night diet is really important to us. Also I try to cook with nutrients intact and I think healthy foods are always very beneficial to our health. Banana is one of my favorite fruits and it is a regular item in my diet .At the same time I think eating fish is better than meat .

I got sick before few days because I use the outside, or maybe unhealthy food. Your guide is very helpful for me to change my thought and diet.

  5. A most interesting post and even more interesting to read that even some of the foods that we always thought were healthy have their downsides. The one with the least cons is broccoli I see. 

    I was surprised to read that the banana is not so great for people with kidney disease. I am also surprised that the sugar content is so high, as I know so many healthy people who seem to live on bananas.

    Avocado is one of the things I love, but surprisingly it gives me bad tummy ache if I eat too much. I can maybe only manage a quarter at a time. Does anyone else have this problem?

  6. Hello, this is a good list of the stuff we should be eating. I like everything about it except bananas because I’m allergic to it. Isn’t that weird? I did some research and it turns out there’s a growing number of people becoming allergic to bananas because of a type of pesticide that is being used which is made up of ground-up shrimp or some type of seafood. Anyway, just food for thought.

  11. Hello Earl. I definitely love this list of healthy foods that you have shared. For the fact that fish is healthy to eat compared to meat, I prefer fish. Moreover, it is even more delicious. I have heard of broccoli but I haven’t seen or eaten it before and I definitely would want to someday. Talking about almond nuts, I ate a lot of it when I was little because in the estate I live back then, we had several tropical almond trees; so we ate both the fruits and the nuts. I never knew that almond is this healthy. For bananas; I am considering starting regular and consistent workouts once I change my location in less than a month from now. So I will incorporate bananas in my food. I love the fact that you shared the negative aspects of all of these foods. This would give us caution to stay safe.
